THE RED DRAGON BATTLES FOR THE BAY IN DUBLIN

May 19th to the 21st saw the 11th Battle for The Bay and 6th Dublin Bay SUP Classic return to Clontarf as Irelands Largest Water sports and Beach Festival hit Dollymount Strand. Over 40,000 people came to support the athletes and joined in for the party of the year in Dublin.

The festival kicked off Friday night on Clontarf seafront with a brand new event; The Dragon Run. The 22ft Dragon boards were ridden by a team of 4 riders and with head on head battles 9 teams faced a short but challenging course. Team O’Rourke, and Team Harbour SUP and Sail from Enniscrone made their way to the final with Dublin’s Team O’Rourke the victors. The laughter had by all was infectious and was a great start to kick off what was an epic weekend and a great Dragon World Series Event. A big thank you goes to the amazing Pure Magic team for providing the platform to run the event and make it such a succcess!
