DRAGON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FAQs
WHEN IS IT?
The Dragon World Championships will run over 15th and 16th June 2019 at Lake Annecy, France.
HOW MUCH IS IT TO ENTER?
The championships will cost €160 per team/ €40 per person. To register simply hit the enter button, select whether you are a team or solo entry and follow the onscreen instructions to checkout. You can pay via PayPal or debit card. If you have any issues, please contact email@example.com
WHEN DO ENTRIES CLOSE?
Entries close on 8th June or when all spaces have been filled.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ON A TEAM?
You will need four (4) competitors to race in every race, but you can substitute a maximum of two people per race.
Any substitute team members will also need to purchase entry. For example if you wish to bring a team of five you will need to buy a team entry and an additional individual entry to ensure all members can compete.
I HAVE NEVER RACED BEFORE – CAN I ENTER?
Yes. Although we’d strongly recommend you practice your winning technique by entering one of the Dragon World Series events near you!
DOES THE WHOLE TEAM NEED TO REGISTER?
Yes. You can either register as a team of four by purchasing one team entry OR you can purchase multiple individual entries – simply enter your team name when registering so we know you’re taking part together.
HOW WILL I KNOW MY REGISTRATION HAS GONE THROUGH?
You will receive a confirmation email once we’ve received your entry.
WHAT DIVISIONS WILL THERE BE?
Details of divisions as specified on the website.
CAN I USE MY OWN BOARD?
Yes. As long as it is a Red Paddle Co Red Dragon – no other boards will be allowed to race.
CAN I USE MY OWN PADDLE?
Yes. This event is open to all and as such you can quite literally choose your weapon to do battle with all the other teams.
All participants must wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) at all times. A small selection of these will be available at the event but please try to bring your own if possible.
HOW OLD DO YOU NEED TO BE?
A minimum of 12 years old. Children must be confident swimming in open waters and will require parental consent and supervision before and during the event. Due to on water safety requirements we cannot allow anyone under this age to compete.
CAN I BOOK TO STAY FOR LONGER AFTER THE EVENT?
Of course! Why not make it into a holiday? You can discover the beautiful towns and villages around Lake Annecy and while away those sunny days in the Alps.
